A foreign national can apply for a Working Holiday visa (subclass 462) up to three times. Subclass 462 visas are for young foreign nationals (18-30 years old) who desire to work, study, and travel in Australia for a year. Each Subclass 462 visa allows the applicant to remain for 12 months.
The initial Subclass 462 visa includes an annual limit on the number of applicants from specific countries. For example, the Australian government included India on the list and allotted 1000 visa slots. However, there is no limit on the second and third working holiday visas.
Foreign nationals who apply for the First Working Holiday visa must be between 18 and 30.
To be eligible for a Third employment and Holiday visa, an applicant must have completed six months of particular employment. Six months of particular labor equals the six shortest calendar months of the year or around 179 calendar days.
During the six-month job period, weekends and rest days will be included. Applicants are not required to complete six months of specified work at once or with a single company. They can also work on certain projects for longer than the six-month deadline.
To satisfy the six-month particular employment requirement, an applicant must work the shift as a full-time employee in any designated industry for six months.
