What is subclass 186 Visa?
The 186 visa is a permanent resident visa in Australia, known as the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS). It allows skilled workers nominated by their employers to live and work permanently in Australia.
Streams: The 186 visa has three main streams:
- Direct Entry stream: For skilled workers who have never worked, or have worked for less than three years, in Australia and who meet the skills and qualifications requirements.
- Temporary Residence Transition (TRT) stream: For skilled workers who have worked for their employer on a temporary visa (e.g., the 457 or 482 visa) for at least three years.
- Labour Agreement stream: For skilled workers nominated by an employer through a labor agreement.
